Construction Notices

Construction Update	All of the hotel facilities are fully operational. Four restaurants and a pool bar are available in the main hotel building. A healthy cuisine menu is also available in the CHI Spa building. Three swimming pools and o­ne beach are currently available for guests to enjoy as well as two gymnasiums (one mixed and o­ne for female use o­nly) with state-of-the-art equipment and personal trainers. The Shangri-La Residences (161 serviced apartments), six luxury villas and a lively souk (market) are due to be completed by Summer 2008. A second hotel within the project is due to open in 2009. Although the project is yet to be completed, the majority of work is taking place at least 500 yards from the main hotel area.  - The villas are still being constructed but are near completion and interior fitting will start next month. - The Lighthouse restaurant project – there is currently a new restaurant being constructed next to the villas and to the south beach. A small amount of noise can be heard in working hours but disruption to in-house guests will be kept to a minimum. - A new hotel development is being constructed next to the Qaryat Al Beri project but this is 1km from the main hotel building and no construction noise can be heard. - Across the water, next to the Grand Mosque, there is also another hotel project under development. La Veranda, an all-day fine restaurant, offers international lunch and dinner buffets as well as an extensiveá la carte menu with emphasis o­n natural and fresh ingredients.
